La Paz Baja Mexico - Fishing Reports

March 27th Fishing Report
The Yellowtail and AmberJacks are the main targeted species for this time of year. The yellowtail are mixed in with both Cabrilla and Pargo and pacific white Bonito. In addition there has been schools of Dorado paddie hopping around the island.

March 6th Fishing Report
Limits of yellowtail upwards of 35 lbs. The weather improves dramatically and the yellowtail,AmberJacks, grouper and Snapper are abundant.

February 27th Fishing Report
It’s looking like the seamounts are starting to load up.
The Pargo and Cabrilla are mixed in on the rocky points as well with some yellow snapper, the largest I’ve ever seen.

February 20th Fishing Report
Both yellowtail and Almaco jacks are settling in around the seamounts and rocky spots. The yellowtail have been nice size, ranging 20-25 lbs. Based on the fish counts I believe we are in for an epic YT season. The Sierra have seemed to move on as well as the Dorado.

January 30th Fishing Report
Fishing really hasn’t changed much from last week. Yellowtail and Almaco jacks are the main targets. Most rocky points and seamounts are starting to consistently hold fish. This trend should continue and get better as we slide into March. Cabrilla and Pargo are mixed in along with the pesky but good eating triggerfish.

January 23rd Fishing Report
We are once again finding Dorado scattered throughout the bay and San Lorenzo channel. Sierra are in the mix along the coastline. Sierra are in the mix along the coastline. The Yellowtail and Almaco Jacks are the mainstay of our fishery and this should continue thru spring.
